I need from you the following preliminary documents and information:

Official copy death certificate

(If grant has issued elsewhere) a court sealed and certified copy of the foreign grant and will (if any)

If grant has not issued but if there is a will I need at this stage a copy of the will (please do not send the original will until I ask for it and discuss with you the best means of getting it safely to me)

List of assets of deceased in Republic of Ireland in respect of which a grant is required (with supporting vouchers showing value of each asset at date of death)

Solicitors certified copy of the schedule of any assets situate outside Republic of Ireland

Solicitors confirmation of the domicile of the deceased and his/her tax residence in last four years of life

Names and addresses of the beneficiaries entitled to the Irish Estate, the estimated benefit for each and the relationship in law between each beneficiary and the deceased

List of any joint assets of deceased in Republic of Ireland with name and address of the surviving joint owner and the relationship in law between that person and the deceased
